CEFL INAUGURAL FUNCTION REPORT

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pramod Talgeri inaugurating the CEFL Language Lab
     Dr. Pramod Talgeri, Vice-Chancellor, India International Mulitvarsity, inaugurated the Digital Language Lab at the Centre for English and Foreign Languages (CEFL) on Friday, 15 October, 2010 in Ness Wadia College of Commerce, Pune. In his inaugural address, Dr. Talgeri  said ,'The use of the English language has  not been anymore  restricted  only to literature, but it has become the language of science, technology and business.'  Further he emphasized that besides English, multilingualism is the need of the present business world.

     On the occasion, Prin. Dr. M.M. Andar delivered a welcome speech by accentuating the values cherished by the college i.e. modernism, cosmopolitanism and secularism. Dr. Girija Shankar, Vice Principal, introduced the Chief-Guest. Prof. Ravindra Mhasade, Coordinator of the CEFL, briefed the audience on the development of the centre. The CEFL offers certificate courses in Spoken English, Business English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese. The courses are open to all. Prof. Ms. Parmeswaran, Vice Principal (Jr. college), Ex-Principals Dr. Mrs. Devdhar and Dr. Hemant Deosthali graced the occasion. Prof. Shaila Kurian expressed the vote of thanks.
