The Centre for English and Foreign Languages (CEFL) went a step forward in expanding its boundaries and spreading out the importance of Language & Communication in today’s world on Friday, the 23rd December, when it organized its first Prize Distribution Ceremony in the Ness Wadia College.  Mr.H.P.Shrivastava, Vice Chairman, Deccan Chamber of Commerce Industries & Agriculture, Pune presided over the function as the Chief Guest.
In his keynote address, Mr. H.P Srivastava shared his personal thoughts and views with the audience on the significance of English in the corporate world. He gave examples to exemplify his points which were laced with humour and good content.  There was a huge crowd of nearly 300 to 350 students who heard the address assiduously with keenness and deliberation.
Prin. Dr.M.M.Andar delivered a welcome speech and briefed the audience on how the CEFL has contributed towards the spread of English and other Foreign Languages across Pune. Further emphasizing on the role of the centre, he said, ‘The CEFL should provide consultancy to neighbouring institutes and industries.’ Dr.Girija Shankar, Vice Principal, introduced the Chief Guest succinctly.
Dr.Ravindra Mhasade, CEFL Coordinator, briefed the audience on the development of the CEFL and a wide range of courses offered by it.  Dr.Mhasade  gave a very strong message to the entire audience saying , "Learning any language isn’t a task which one can accomplish in two or three years rather  it is a continuous and ever  learning process.’’
On the occasion, one could see the power and reach of the CEFL that had motivated and inspired young aspiring course-participants as they came forward and shared their experience on the stage. This shows that nothing is impossible in the world if the guidance is provided in the right direction. In the function, the toppers received prizes and certificates at the hands of the Chief-Guest. Lastly, Prof. Prakash Chaudhary, Vice-Principal, proposed a vote of thanks and appreciated the efforts, dedication and participation of the CEFL students which made the event a grand success. Ms. Fiona and Ms. Sheryl compered the function ably.
